Acting

Frank began acting in 1995. His first performance was in Amadeus at Onstage Atlanta for which he won an acting award. He also earned awards for his work in Little Women and The Man Who Came to Dinner. He has made commercials for AFLAC, Delta Air Lines, Nation's Bank, Goldkist, Burger King, Atlanta Braves, and FootJoy, among others. He has been in industrials (or non-broadcast television) for several businesses including Delta Air Lines, Southern Africa, Bell South, Performance Plus Telecom, Success Trainers, and Fire Arms Training Systems, some as the lead. He is also a principal in Jerry Reed's music video, When You're Hot, You're Hot. He has appeared in several Los Angeles productions (Miss Evers' Boys, Fled, Savannah, A Season in Purgatory). Perhaps his most unusual recurring role was that of a mental patient on World Championship Wrestling at TBS. He has performed in improv on the stage at the Alliance Theatre and Dad's Garage. Frank has also been in several independent movies and shorts in either a supporting role or as the lead.

Film:
"The Bed By the Window" (2009): This short tells about two elderly men in a nursing home. Frank was the psychotic one who wanted near the window. Go to production still.

"Deadly Creatures" (2008): This short is a viril video for the game "Deadly Creatures". Frank was a man on the street.

"Dear Becca" (2008): This feature tells about a modern day ghost hunter checking a house where a lady died 50 years ago. Through her diary, he learns about a past filled with pain. He interviews the dead woman's aging, schizophrenic brother, Ellis, played by Frank. This film is scheduled for next year's Sundance Festival.

Downpour (2008): This short tells the story of a couple who let another couple in their house in a storm. Are they robbers and/or murderers? It was part of the 2008 International 48-Hour Film Festival. Frank plays the neighborhood watch committee guy, Carl.

Paper Boys (formally Boys of the Wrecking Crew) (2008): This feature is a coming of age film about boys working for a newspaper. Frank plays the head of circulation for the paper.

The Choice (2008): This short follows a woman who must choose between two men, both of whom she loves. She is torn between an earlier decision and different options now. Frank directed the piece and appears in it. It will be submitted to the festival circuit. Go to production stills.

Think Like a Middle Schooler (2007): This short is used to demonstrate how, even as we age, we can retain a sense of humor.

"El Departamento" (2007): This dramatic short tells the story of a Latin immigrant who is bullied by the police. It is based on an actual case in Atlanta. He plays an apartment landlord.

"Thank You" (2006): This music video starts with some scenes of a mother and son going to her father's house where the boy and his grandfather bond over the afternoon. While bonding, the Ray Boltz song, "Thank You", plays. He is the co-lead.

Burying Daniel (2006): This short, based on a true story, shows some problems burying a young man. He is a laid-back Reverend in a supporting role.

Golgotha (2006): This is a fantasy feature film about the rise and fall of an evil sorceress, Golgotha. Frank plays the evil king, McGuffin, who kidnapped her in her childhood. Go to production stills.

The Fight Club IV (2006): These scenes dipict a grandfather talking with his fight trainer about encounters with his adult daughter. It reveals some difficulties dealing with family members and is part of a four-part series. He is the co-lead.

Concrete Brown (2005): This short chronicles the life of three old action heros who have the chance to rescue a young girl captured by a thug. Not as easy the old days. Spoon River Equinox (2005): This feature is scheduled for Georgia Public Television with another film. It tells a poetic story about a town (not unlike "Our Town") visually. Frank did the narrator's voice over.

Blood Ties (2005): This feature tells the story of a former government agent looking for his brother's kidnappers. There are mercenaries trying to keep him from finding out what the government has done with new satellite tracking technology developed by his brother. This action story was filmed in Thailand, Washington, DC, the Virginia mountains, north Georgia, and the Atlanta area. Frank plays the part of the protagonist's friend. The Problem of Happiness (2004): This feature is set in the near future and shows what can happen when government plays on people's fears about an unnamed terrorist threat. Surveillance on the street becomes the norm so that society becomes those who work and those who are a threat to the government. This is not unlike Orwell's, 1984. It is shown on three screens behind a live band. Frank plays the part of the President. It is being shown now and scheduled for DVD release later in 2005. Go to production stills.

The Frame (2004): This feature follows a crime scene photographer as he tries to learn about his father's murder. There are pictures in his camera, following a woman's murder in progress, that he cannot explain. Then he sees the beautiful woman alive. He sees a conspiracy, but is it real or his imagination? Frank plays the part of the Medical Examiner. It is scheduled for the film festival circuit and release in 2005. Go to production stills.

The Ghost of the Needle (2003): This multiple-award winning feature film tells the story of a landscape photographer who lures women to his studio to kill them and make their portrait. After a fall while chasing one victim, things in his world seem to be different, including losing her body. It's a roller-coaster ride to the end. Frank plays the serial killer's alcoholic father. It has been released for theatre and DVD overseas and was released in the U.S. in January, 2005 at Hollywood Video. It is also at Netflix. Go to production stills.

Free Beer Tomorrow (2004): This short is about a young lady on her way to her wedding when her car breaks down and she's forced to use an old mechanic to help her out. The interplay between her younger, quicker generation with the older, slower one of the mechanic is the basis for the story. Frank has the lead as the mechanic. Cherry (2004): This short tells the urban legend of a man in a hotel who solicits a call girl. When she arrives, there is an unusual surprise. Frank has the lead as the man in the hotel. It is currently in the festival circuit. Go to production stills.
